Meet the Team

  • Michael E. Meissner, CPA, CITP

    President

    Michael Meissner majored in Accounting and earned his BS degree in Business from Indiana University Bloomington. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Public Accountants. Michael is also one of the first CPAs in Indiana to hold the designation of a Certified Information Technology Professional from the AICPA, a credential that recognizes his expertise as a business advisor in the area of managing and leveraging information technology. He has served on various boards and committees in the community.

    Michael has extensive experience working with physicians and medical practices as well as clients in real estate development and real estate rental property. Michael performs business consulting services in all areas of accounting and taxation including sales and acquisitions, start-up, and succession planning.

  • Dana Bement, CPA

    Vice President

    Dana graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy in 2003. Dana is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Indiana CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Hoosier Hills Estate Planning Council.

    Dana has volunteered and served on the boards and finance committees of local nonprofit organizations, including 8 years of service as Treasurer on the board of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard.

    As a tax and business advisor, Dana assists individuals and families with asset management, budgeting, retirement planning, and tax strategies. Dana also assists business owners with financial reporting, tax planning, cash-flow management, business start-ups, and succession planning. Dana has worked with a variety of client groups, such as entertainers, restaurants, professional service providers, non-profit organizations, families, and individuals.

    In her spare time, Dana enjoys gardening and traveling with her family.

  • Philip D. Muller, CPA, CFE

    Senior Staff Accountant

    Philip graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2016, and a Master of Science in Accounting in 2017. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Philip joined Stampfli Associates full-time in May 2022.

    Philip has over twenty-five years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, ranging from working with small business/nonprofit bookkeeping as a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor to holding an internal auditor role with a federal government agency.

    In his free time, Philip enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling with his family.

  • Bidhan Shaon, CPA

    Senior Staff Accountant

    Bidhan graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a Master of Science in Accounting Degree in 2017. Bidhan has also completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Dhaka in 2015. Bidhan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is licensed to practice in the state of Indiana. He has earned many technical certificates in accounting-related fields and is currently pursuing the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.

    He enjoys reading books about startups, future technologies, and entrepreneurs. Personal finance and investing opportunities are also some of Bidhan’s favorite reading material. In his free time, he enjoys dining out with friends at many of Bloomington’s local area restaurants.

  • Treva Jones Peckham

    Staff Accountant

    Treva has been with Stampfli Associates Since 2015. Treva graduated with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2013. She has earned Certificates in both Bookkeeping and Payroll.

    Treva volunteered and served on a board as treasurer for Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department for 3 years. She also served as Lawrence County Coordinator for InGenWeb for 20 years.

    Treva’s hobbies include painting, making wooden signs, and crafting. She loves spending time with her family and traveling when she can. She also has a love for history which led her to help compile historical data for old graveyards across Indiana. This data was eventually published and made into books that you can find in several libraries here in Indiana.

  • Crystal D. Lowden

    Administrative Assistant

    Crystal Lowden is an Administrative Assistant with over 10 years in the field and has been a Stampfli Associates Team member since November of 2018. She has experience with all administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence. As the first-person contact at Stampfli Associates, her goal is to greet each client with a positive attitude and help assure their experience with Stampfli Associates is a pleasant one.

    She has an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences in Computer Information Systems from Ivy Tech State College Bloomington. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, taking nature pictures, and tending to her gardens.

Our Founder: Linda Simon

Linda Simon was the founder of Stampfli Associates, CPAs. She was president from its inception in 1993 until 2008, whereupon she remained on staff as a senior accountant until her retirement in 2010. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she moved to Bloomington with her family in 1967 to pursue an MBA in accounting from Indiana University and a CPA certification.

Throughout her career and into retirement, Linda devoted herself to her family and community service. She served on the boards of various local organizations and was a mentor for young women. She loved hiking, reading, and performance art of every kind.

Linda passed away in 2014, but her legacy of compassion, service, and unwavering commitment to her family, associates, clients, and community continues to inspire and guide those who knew her.
